Reading romance novels have always been my favorite pastime. I carry one with me in my giant tote everywhere I go. I can read several chapters while sitting in the parking lot, waiting to pick up my son from karate.
I started jotting down ideas for How to Capture Kate and Genevieve Grace around six years ago. I have two sons, so I am forced to watch numerous action and spy movies. Some of them have a really cool female character who can kick ass as well as the male lead. Kate is based on these heroines, but she also has a vulnerable side. She's suffered great loss in her young life, plus she's a little naïve. I love her character, and the sequel Obessession of Mine is now available.
My oldest son is very critical of my work, but he actually likes the premise of this book. Coming from him, I have been awarded the highest of praise. We often compare him to Sheldon on The Big Bang Theorgy.
